In conjunction with the Fulton County Museum of Rochester Indiana, a one week trek across the American Heartland held every five years since 1988 to mark the trail and check the conditions of the markers placed by various organizations From Counties from Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas, the D.A.R., Boy Scouts, and The Knights of Columbus.
